  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp olive oil (plus more for cooking)
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse chicken breasts under cold water and pat dry.
  2. In a bowl, mix minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, and olive oil until well combined.
  3. Place chicken in a resealable bag or bowl; pour the marinade over the chicken and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet; simmer until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C), approximately 10-15 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving over rice or steamed vegetables.
