  • 4 fresh cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients. Finely chop the herbs and mince the garlic.
  2. Pat cod fillets dry with paper towels; season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter until bubbling.
  4. Sear cod fillets skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until golden brown; flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  5. Remove cod from skillet; add remaining butter, garlic, herbs, and lemon juice to the pan. Stir until fragrant.
  6. Drizzle herb butter sauce over cod before serving. Enjoy with seasonal veggies or rice.
