Description

  • 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Blanch asparagus in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream and half of the cheddar cheese over medium heat until melted and bubbly.
  4. In a large bowl, mix blanched asparagus with the melted cheese mixture, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top and bubbly around the edges. Let cool slightly before serving.
