Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (plus extra for topping)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.

  7. Pour the beef mixture into a greased baking dish and dollop biscuit dough evenly on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
